August 14, 2017, from 4-7 p.m.
At Montgomery Bakehouse, we know that we wouldn’t have much of a bakery at all if it weren’t for our fantastic customers! To say thank you and to strengthen our community, we’re hosting a special gathering all about getting to know each other. Get to Know Your Customer Day should be fun for the whole family — and of course, we’ll supply some delicious treats while we’re at it!
We’ll Go First …
To break the ice, we thought we’d start by telling you a little bit more about us. We obviously love to bake, and it’s been in our blood for generations. The first Schenk family bakery was established in 1938 in German Town, PA when Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop first moved to the States from Germany. Family recipes were passed down, and now Tim Schenk — Pop-Pop’s grandson! — along with his wife Heather and their three children are proud to bring you the goodies you love right here in Texas.
In addition to baking, we’re passionate about education and giving back to our wonderful community. One way we do this is through Project Mentor, a program that connects local kids with caring adults to help guide them through not just their learning, but also through the complex process of growing up. We’re also working with the Providence Classical School to further their mission of educating youth to be not just good students, but good Christians, too. We believe the deep personal connections across generations provide a foundation for developing the whole person, and we’re proud to partner with these wonderful groups. We’ll have volunteers from both of these great organizations here on Get to Know Your Customer Day to share more about their work, too.
Getting to Know All About You
Now that you know a bit more about us, what’s your story? Come down to Montgomery Bakehouse for a meet and greet with the whole Schenk family and share your thoughts about anything from cookies to our community and neighborhood. You’ll be treated to our dessert bar and get a goodie bag to take home. Get to Know Your Customer Day is on August 14, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. We can’t wait to see you! You can RSVP and let us know you’re coming on Facebook!
