This old nursery rhyme has been stuck in our heads because this seasonal treat is back for the Easter season! What is a Hot Cross Bun? Well, its a lot more than a song you learned on the recorder in Fourth Grade! This Eastertime favorite is a sweet, nutmeg-spiked bun with raisins and candied fruit, glazed with a pure white icing cross! Did you know there’s symbolism in a Hot Cross Bun? The spices in the dough represent the embalmment of Jesus in the tomb, and the white cross on top represents how He paid for our sins. What a delicious treat to enjoy this time of year!
